Three Frugal Things Friday #1

I started this a few weeks ago over on my Instagram. I wanted to document all the frugal things we do to try and help others save money too so I came up with 'three frugal things Friday'. Every Friday I share three things we have done to save money. Its been great so far! So many people have jumped on board and decided to make a effort to make Friday frugal!

#1 We got crafty at home

Staying at home means staying away from temptation! I bought these little paint rollers for Albie a few months ago and hadn't had the chance to use them. I also had the long paper roll (Mala) from Ikea so I thought Friday was the perfect time to get crafty.

It was actually really good fun! I used a recycled tortellini package as the paint tray. I needed something long enough to be able to roll the rollers but something with sides to avoid lots of spillage! It worked really well and then I just gave it a wash after and put it back in the recycling!

#2 Sharing a bath to save water

I needed to wash my hair and I always struggle to do it in the evenings as I have such thick hair I have to make sure its dry before bed. But the hair dryer is guaranteed to wake my toddle up! So instead, we had a midday bath! I saved water as my toddler came in the bath with me, meaning he didn't need his night time bath! I have seen some people say they use left over bath water to water their plants... I have never done this though! I would end up spilling it halfway down the stairs!

#3 Freezer tea

You can't  beat a good old freezer tea! There was nothing better than going to a friends house and their mum treating you to a banging freezer tea! I made some Heinz nuggetz, alphabites and mixed veg for Albie's dinner! Also, double saving points as I used the air fryer too!
