My top Vinted searches for finding my Toddler clothes
Ages ago I posted a Vinted search hack on social media and I still get messages about it today. So I am going to share with you my secret Vinted searches to find all the best bargains! I don't like 'typical toddler' clothes. No shade to anyone who does, I don't judge anyone with a different style! I just don't really like character clothes, typical boy colours (muddy brown, muddy green... basically mud) or the weird slogans they put on boys clothes like 'cool dude'.
Finding personalised clothes
This is the hack I posted on social media. I did receive some comments saying it didn't work for their child and obviously if your child is called Princess Consuela Banana Hammock, this hack might not work for you... but you can save the search and just keep an eye on it.
I regularly search 'Albie', 'Albie Personalised' or 'AG Personalised' (not his real initials but you can search initials). I have found so many amazing things by keeping an eye on the search regularly. My favourite ever find was Albie's personalised denim jacket, originally from Zara. I have also picked up lots of other clothing pieces with his name on. I have also sold things that are too small for him to fellow Albie's. So if you are worried about uploading an item because its personalised... just give it a go!
I once picked up a few bits personalised with the initials 'JR' from a car boot fair when I was filling a bag for £1. I put the personalised tracksuit and leggings on Vinted and they sold within the hour for over £5!
Be specific to your style
One of my favourite searches are:
- Handmade 24 months
- Etsy 24 months
- Instagram 24 months
These searches are great if you love unique, handmade items. I used to love buying from small businesses on Instagram, until we found ourselves in financial hardship, I could no longer justify it.
Instead I searched 'Instagram boys clothes' on a whim and it actually worked! I've found lots of season wear this way too for days like Easter, Valentines and Xmas.
But then again, your Vinted search can be broad
Another key phrase I often search is 'unisex 24 months'. As I mentioned, Albie's style isn't your typical boys clothing. We love a bit of leopard print, stripes, block colours etc, so I always search 'unisex' I can see clothes which suit our style.
Don't put too many filters on
Albie is between 18-24 and 24-36 months in sizing, so by searching 24 months I cover both bases. The reason I don't use the official filter to filter sizes is because some things are labelled wrong... Last year there was a Zara jumper I really wanted for Albie, but I wasn't willing to pay 20 quid for it! Until I found it on Vinted with the caption:
'Bought last week from Zara. Tag says 3-4 years but my husband put it in the tumble drier and its now more 18-24 months when against other jumpers'.
It was listed in the 3-4 category, so had I filtered sizes I never would have found it!
