Second hand toddler Christmas toys
I have saved 100s of pounds on my Christmas shopping this year by shopping second hand. I am a lover of Christmas and always loved the idea of big magical Christmases'... but I quickly realised just how expensive toys are! So I began thrifting and it quickly became a bit of an obsession! My toddler interests change so quickly, it was a no brainer to buy him toys second hand too. I have gone a bit overboard in how much I have bought him... but I have been able to afford it because most items range from £2 - 50p. So here is an example of just how much money I have saved on toddler Christmas toys!

Toddler Christmas toys: second hand gift guide!
The toys I am going to show you are for my two year old son. He is particularly interested in vehicles, Peppa Pig and animals. I picked these up at various boot fairs but if you see a specific item you think your child would like try Vinted, facebook market place or Ebay!
Who knew my toddler Christmas toy finds could be worth so much!
This Camper van I found as we were just about to leave a car boot. My mum kept some of my brothers' toys and had recently brought them out for Albie. There were a few 'WOW' toys and he really took a liking to them. So when I saw the Camper van I knew I had to get it for him! He also loves dogs and there are little figures which I knew he would love! But I had no idea of its actual worth when I bought it...

Yep.. you read that right! Originally £71.28!! I bought it for £3! From what I can find online, it was discontinued so is actually a rare find these days! It moves on its own and makes noises too! Plus the little basket for the dog is adorable!
Vintage Duplo is worth more...
I found this set in the box at a boot fair a few months ago! It cost me £2 and I instantly knew it was going to be for Xmas. Similar newer sets retail at around £35. But this exact version has been discontinued and is now being sold on amazon for £79.99.

Board games and puzzles are best second hand
Board games and puzzles are two things I ALWAYS buy second hand. Kids get bored of them so quickly! I picked up these two games for Albie. I might save the Peppa one for his next birthday (he will be 3) as I think it will be better suited then. But for £1 I couldn't not!

The 'Pick and Mix People' game only cost me 50p and I already know it is going to be a huge hit! Plus, when he is bored of it I can pop it on the selling page or vinted and make my money back!
Should I be buying second hand?
Yes! Even buying one gift second hand will save you a fortune! As I said in my Second Hand Christmas post , it does not have to be one or the other. I actually have a combination of new and second hand gifts for my toddler. Sometimes, I cannot find something specific second hand or the quality isn't that great!
