25 free things to do at Christmas

Unfortunately the cost of living crisis isn't going away this Christmas. In fact, millions of families are having to change the way they do Xmas. I have created a 25 day advent of free things to do which still embraces the festivities but doesn't leave you in mountains of debt!

Throughout December, I will be documenting each activity over on my TikTok.  Plus, I am also doing VLOGMAS over there! So you can see what we get up to daily!

Things to do this Christmas that are free!

Think about Christmas as a Chlid. What were your happiest memories? Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the panto's, discos, winter wondland, grotto visits etc... But something I enjoyed just as much (if not more) was snuggling up with my family with a box of Xmas choccies and watching all our favourite festive films. Lets not forget, it was only two years ago all we wanted was to be together for Christmas. So lets not get swept up into the consumer Christmas, buy second hand, make gifts, do free activities... Christmas isn't about how much money you can spend.

Making a 'free things to do' advent

I went to an event recently, and I was inundated with a whole range of different advent calendars; toys, make up, books... even sex toys! What ever happened to a 99p cheap chocolate advent calendar? So it inspired me to make my own! I bought a few mini chocolates and some labels and came up with 25 free things to do this Christmas. Of course, if you don't want to commitment you dont have to turn these ideas into an advent calendar... but lots of the ideas are pretty low maintenance and can be swapped around to suit you.  `
