Budget dinner: Fish finger pie

What is a fish finger pie?

When I was planning for my 5 meals for £20 I was running very low on funds for my last meal! I thought to myself 'lets just do fish fingers and beans'. So here we are, but instead I turned it into a fish finger pie! It is quite literally what it says on the tin. I layered my ingredients and topped with mash and cheese!

But what beans do I need in my fish finger pie?

The great debate... which beans are best? If you had of asked people several years ago I'm sure most people would have said Heinz. However, with the cost of living continuing to rise, people are increasingly turning to supermarket brands. I'm the first to admit I used to be a complete bean snob! But I can honestly say I can't notice the difference between labels and own brands. So grab yourself a 27p can of beans! You really won't be able to tell the difference!
