5 Meals for £20 - Budget Asda Meal Plan
This week I went back to Asda. I spent £19.85 in total and I was really happy with what we got! (You can watch the whole food shop here)
You can read Week One's menu here!
What is on the menu this week?
I have to say, I was really happy with this weeks meals! They were all yummy! I really pushed the boat out with homemade fish goujons and chips too! I have never tried meatball pie before but it was delicious... and will definitely be a staple in our house!
Budget meal plan shopping list
Here is everything you need for this weeks plan. This shopping list is correct at the time of writing - with the current cost of living crisis, it could be more next week!
Meal one: Mac and Cheese
Mac and cheese is one of my all time faves! I use mozzarella for the added stringiness! I have a separate post to write about this recipe as it really is so yummy and so simple!
Meal two: Fish tacos
Again, really easy and simple! These are a great edition to your lunch box too. You can also serve with some veg to bulk the meal up!
Meal three: Gnocchi bake
I wasn't sure what to do with the extra meatballs. I didn't fancy going spaghetti and meatballs... it just felt a bit repetitive. So instead I created a gnocchi bake with all the leftover ingredients from the week. It was yummy and even Albie ate it all!
Meal four: Homemade Goujons
I used smoked basa to make my own fish goujons. The fish was part of a 2 for £5 deal Asda do. I made homemade chips too which I was buzzing about! They were actually really easy too and they did not take long in the air fryer.
Meal five: Meatball pie
I saw this on Tiktok and I knew we had to try it. it was a solid 10/10 and I will be making again!
